The madness of 2020 has changed our lives forever.  We owe it to ourselves to ask how, who and why?

Many are coming to the defence of the NSW Premier following her outing as a consort of the corrupt.  Their arguments in her favour, all five of them, are without merit.

Covid madness is alive and well and living in Victoria.

We now inhabit a strange world where politicians and health bureaucrats, working in tandem, run just about every element of our lives.  This weird new system has replaced democracy as we once knew it, and it may not be over any time soon.  We should all find this quite chilling.  And sinister.  

Victoria is now an international embarrassment to Australia.  Should we just ditch Victoria?

Those who wish to curtail our freedom and rights over a public health scare paint those who oppose their efforts as fringe dwellers and extremists.  Deplorables.  Anti-vaxxers.  Nut cases.  The ones who we should really fear are those who wish to deny us our essential freedoms.

Politicians are said to love "killer facts".  And to want to "follow the science".  Sadly, those running our Covid policy responses seem not to want to do either.

While a Nationals MP in New South Wales is willing to threaten future of the Coalition Government over koalas, where is the resistance in our political parties to the threats to our basic rights and freedoms visited upon us by the Covid lockdowns their own governments have implemented?

Victoria's police are very concerned about "optics".  Like all corporate institutions these days.  Well, it hasn't been a good week for Australia's police state.

The British are surprised at the submissive reaction of Australians and New Zealanders to our governments' vicious lockdown measures in response to what is, for most, a mild Covid challenge.  This invites the question - are we in the Antipodes any more supine before the power of the Covid State than the Brits are?
